Тема: «The wonderful world of animals»

Практическая цель обучения: Построение монологического высказывания типа описание.

• Образовательная.
  Получение учащимися языковых знаний;
  Формирование познавательных способностей учащихся.
• Развивающая.
  Развитие способностей личности (догадки, внимания, памяти);
  Развитие мотивационной сферы ребёнка;
  Развитие интереса к языку;
  Формирование умений анализировать, обобщать.
• Воспитательная.
  Воспитание способности взаимодействовать в группе;
  Формирование качеств личности (взаимопомощи, усидчивости, самостоятельности);
  Формирование ответственности и добросовестного отношения к исполнению порученного задания;
  Формирование способности адекватно реагировать на реплику.

Задачи урока:

• Активизировать изученную лексику по теме “Animals”, “Числительные”.
• Обучить реактивно, рецептивным репликам.
• Развивать навыки диалогической речи.

Оснащение: проектор, компьютер, экран, презентация Power Point, worksheets ( авторская разработка учителя).

Языковой материал: на повторение – лексика по теме “Animals”, “Числительные”.

Актуальность использования средств ИКТ: зрительное восприятие материала легче для учащихся и разнообразит урок. “Animals”, “Числительные”.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент (0,5 мин)

Good afternoon, pupils! Sit down, please. Are you ready? Let’s begin our lesson.

Who is on duty today? Who is absent? What date is it today? What day of the week is it today? What day was yesterday? What day will be tomorrow?

2. Введение (1мин) (Слайд 1,2 )

Teacher: I would like to start our lesson with a poem. Try to guess what the theme of our lesson is.

Let’s go to safari  park

To see the animals when dark.

The bear’s big, the hedgehog’s small

The brave lion lies along!

The elephant is strong and grey

The panda  sleeps the hole day

Only hungry crocodile

Watches me  and waits and smiles.

Teacher: What is the theme of our lesson?

Teacher: The main aim of our lesson is to learn how to describe your favourite animal.

Teacher: But before we do it, let’s have a phonetic exercise.

3. Фонетическая зарядка (1,5 мин)

Teacher: First, look at the blackboard and pronounce the words you will need this lesson.

Are you ready? Be attentive in your pronunciation, please.

На доске следующие слова:

Eagle, pond, jungle, mountain, corn, ostrich, lion, eighth, hungry.

Teacher: Will you repeat them after me?

Teacher: …………read these words without me.

Teacher: ………… repeat after me (слабый ученик повторяет).

Teacher: I see you can pronounce these words correctly.

4. Цель урока (1 мин)

Teacher: Today we will check up our knowledge on the topic “Animals”, “Числительные”.

The plan of our lesson is to:

•  Talk about Animals.
• Revise the words on the topic “Animals”, “Числительные”.
• Compare different animals.
• Guess the riddles.
• Read the text about tigers.
• To learn how to make the plan.

Teacher: The next task is to revise the words on the topic “Animals”, “Числительные”.

5.Контроль лексического навыка говорения. (3 мин) (Слайд 3,4)

Teacher: Let’s check how well you know the names of animals. Look at the picture. The animals are running a race.

Task: Say which of them is the first (the second, the third).

 (см. Приложение 1)

Итог этапа: We revised the words on the topic “Animals”, “Числительные”.

 Teacher:  What to groups can we divide the birds and the animals into?

I believe you know wild and domestic animals and birds well.

Task: Clap your hands one time if you hear a domestic animal.

Итог этапа: I see you know animals very well. So you are ready for talking about them.

6.Закрепление грамматического материала.  (3 мин) (Слайд 5-11)

Teacher:  There are a lot of animals and birds. Some of them are big and strong? Some are small and funny. The next task is to compare the animals.

Task: compare the animals.

Examples:

The elephant is bigger than the tiger.

The monkey's tail is longer than the hare's .

Teacher: Answer my questions.

Whose paws are stronger, the tiger's or the horse's?

Whose tail is longer, the hare's or the giraffe's?

Whose teeth are shaper, the cow's or the crocodile's?

Whose tail is shorter, the wolf's or the monkey's?

Who is funnier, the monkey or the hamster?

7.Обучение навыку  аудированию с целью полного понимания высказывания. (2 мин) (Слайд 12-17 )

Task: Listen to the descriptions of the animals and guess their names. 

(см. Приложение 2)

8. Повторение правописания слов. (1 мин) (Слайд  18, 19 )

Teacher:  Birds and animals can live in different places. The next task is to guess the name of the place.

9.Обучение навыку говорения с опорой на картинки. (3 мин) (Слайд 20 )

Task: help the animals to find their home.

Example: A fox lives in the forest.

10.Обучение чтению с целью извлечения необходимой информации.  (2 мин) (Слайд 21, 22)  

Teacher: I know, you’ve got pets at home. You take care of your pets and feed them. What do the animals eat and drink? The next task for you is to read the sentences and mark them as true (T) or false (F). Work in pairs.

11.Повторение модального глагола can.  (2 мин) (Слайд 23)  

Task:write down can or can’t

12.Обучение диалогической речи (5 мин) (Слайд 24)  

Teacher: Now let's remember how to ask questions about animals. Play a guessing game. Work in groups. Think of an animal. Let your classmates guess what animal it is by asking your different questions.

Итог этапа: I’ve remembered how to ask questions about animals.

13.Физкультминутка (2мин) (Слайд 25)   

Teacher: I think we should have a small rest. In other words, let’s play a game.

You will be animals and ------------ will be your trainer. Remember, that you are clever, and disciplined animals. You should do everything he/ she tells you to do. Are you ready? Let’s start.

Итог этапа: We had a rest and I think you have a good mood and we can go on our work.

14. Работа с текстом (10 мин) (Слайд 26,27,28)  

Teacher:Billy loves animals and knows a lot about them. This is what he wrote about them. Open your books p.15, Ex 10.

А) Cнятие лексических трудностей.

Teacher: Before reading I want you to learn and remember the difficult words you can meet in the text.

Words: sleep, hunt, stay, alone, baby –tigers.

 B) Установка на чтение текста.

 Teacher: Now read the text and say what Billy’s favourite animal is?

c) Проверка понимания прочитанного текста.

Teacher:  Look through the text again and answer the questions.

1. What colour are they?
2. Where do the tigers live?
3. What do they usually eat?
4. Where do they hunt?
5. Can tigers swim?

d) выполнение теста.

15. Формирование навыка монологической речи с опорой на план. (5 мин) (Слайд29  )  

Teacher: Describe tigers using this plan.

a) по цепочке.

b) 1 ученик у доски весь рассказ целиком.

16. Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов. Выставление оценок. Домашнее задание. (3 мин)

T: Dear boys and girls. I am sorry, but we must stop here. Our time is up.

Well, you worked very well today. Thank you.
